Carl D. Guardipee, Jr. “Pugs”, 64, passed away at the Blackfeet Care Center on October 24th.  Born Nov. 14th, 1954 in Browning to Carmen (Bullshoe) 7 Carl D. Guardipee Sr. (big Pugs), he was raised on Badger Creek receiving his education at Browning, Flandreau Indian School, BCC and Haskell College.

He married Sherrie Rutherford of over 34 years. And was a Data Tech for the Blackfeet Tribe; a sawyer and firefighter, cowboy and teacher.  He enjoyed rodeo, football, watching the Cubs play, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lyla C. DeRoche, Mother Carmen Marceau Bullshoe, Father Carl D. Guardipee Sr (Big Pugs), grandmother Lillian (Heanult) Bullshoe, nephew Carlan Guardipee, mother in law Patricia (Rutherford) Wikstrom.

He is survived by his 5 children Keila Guardipee, Kortni (Clifton) DeRoche of Browning, Kimberlee (Seth Shields) Guardipee of Missoula, Tyrell (Kayla Comes at Night) Guardipee and Francis Guardipee of Browning; 6 grandchildren Trey, Hunter, Jordyn, Julia, Sage, & McKenna; Siblings Francis “Squee” (Michelle Guardipee, Janet Guardipee, Francine “Pinky” Guardipee all of Browning, Spike Guardipee, Donnie Guardipee, Pam Guardipee, Gerald (Chee-chee) Whiteman, Sr. & Vernon Goss.

A wake began on Saturday at the Stickgame Arbor with Rosary being held Monday at 7 pm.  Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday in Little Flower Parish.
