Carolyn Madplume

Carolyn Marie SpottedEagle, 57, of Heart Butte, MT, passed away in Missoula, MT, on 6/4/2024. She was born in Great Falls, MT, on July 23rd 1966 to Louise and Tom Malatare. She was raised on the Flathead Reservation. She later moved to Heart Butte, MT where she lived with her husband and kids.

Carolyn got her GED from the Blackfeet Community College. She loved to learn new things, even when it was a challenge, she never gave up.

She was married/widowed to Harold “Jiggs” SpottedEagle. She loved and missed him everyday.

She had many different jobs such as, working for Jore Corporation, Mission Mountain Enterprizes and being a Unit Tech for Crystal Creek Lodge Treatment Center. However, her number one job was being a great mother and wife.

Carolyn loved going to powwows to dance and play stickgame. She also loved to gamble. She was always going to Glacier Peaks Casino to play Rumble in the Jungle which she called her “Jungle Man.” She also loved to be around her family and friends whom she loved dearly. She always had a big hear.

Carolyn is proceeded in death by her late husband Harold “Jiggs” SpottedEagle, her sisters; Diane, Mary and Junie. Her brothers, Thomas and Louie. Her Children, Brian, Catherine, Albert and Edward. Her Mother Louise and Father Tom. Her grandparents Abraham and Mary StandingRock, Paul Andrew and Ann Mary Finley Lefthand.

She is survived by her 4 children, Starla Madplume (Karl Madplume), Shelly CalfRobe (Aloyisius Wells), Harold CalfRobe, Tarance Madplume (Kalissa WhiteQuills), and Violet Madplume.

Her 11 grandchildren, Colton, LaRandon, Ilena, Nolan, Catherine, Holdyn, Christian, Atreus, Zada, Natasha, Breena and great grandchildren Avery Lynn.

Her brothers, Pierre Malatare (Vickie), Paul Malatare, Douglas (Tina), and Micky Villa (Cheryl). Sisters, Harriett Malatare, Rose and Maryland.
