Damian Talamantes Obituary

The heavens called to Damian Armando Talamantes, who passed away on January 19, 2025 in Butte, MT.

He was born to Aide Talamantes on February 20, 1977, in Billings, MT.  Damian was raised in Pablo/Ronan area and attended school in Ronan.  Others who had a hand in raising him are Tim Gardipe, David Vallee, and his stepfather, Sam Barnaby.  Damian and his former wife, Kim Mikesell, raised three beautiful kids: Shenoah, Xavier & Sidra.  He also had twins Adelin & Ellee with Tara and Haidee with Tabitha.

He went to Salish Kootenai College and studied Natural Resources.  His various jobs consisted of working for Forestry, Trane for some years, attending truck driving school, and driving while living in Tyler, Texas.  He worked for Wheat Montana, driving a truck & forklift when he returned to Montana.  Damian loved all Sports.  He even considered being a sports broadcaster because he was very good at talking about and memorizing sports statistics.

He loved spending time with his kids.  Everyday moments were special because they were together.  Damian always made time with his kids, fun: all the firsts, sweet moments at the park, always encouraging and supportive of his kids for every sport & activity, fun times at the fair, and plenty of laughter.

He was easygoing, easy to talk to, very friendly, always smiling or laughing, positive toward everyone, and a stylish dresser.  He loved music, dabbled in playing guitar and singing, and enjoyed spending time with his friends.  He loved shopping and loved to read books on philosophy and poetry.  He loved doing things outdoors, like hiking and basketball.

His great-grandparents David & Margarita Ramirez preceded him in death, and his grandparents Alice & CJ Talamantes, Uncle Phillip, and brother Tracy Belmarez, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

His six surviving children: Shenoah, Xavier, Sidra, Adelin, Ellee, and Haidee.  Survivors also include his sisters Angelina (daughters Isabella & Hadley) and Cristina (sons DeShayne & Legend), brother Joel Belmarez, niece Jerzie, Aunts, Yolanda (Clayton), Linda, Herma, Alma (Jason), Sarah, and Uncle Bennie: great Uncles, Richard & Tony Ramirez, cousins, and other family members.

Our family will miss him and remember all the cherished moments with Damian until we see you again.  Forever in our hearts.
