David Eliza Brown, son of the late J.C. Brown and Annie Mae Hudson Brown was born November 29, 1957, in Clarendon County, South Carolina, died of natural causes on May 20, 2023, at home in the presence of his wife. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. David joined the U.S. Army in 1979 and made the Army a career, during his career as a Telecommunications Operations Chief, he deployed to Desert Storm and Desert Shield. David was awarded three Bronze Stars for his distinguished service. After 24 years, David retired as a Master Sargent. On May 25, 2004, he married Terry Camel, who was with him at the time of his passing. They were married for almost 19 years. After their retirement, David and Terry moved to Montana, which he quickly called home. He will be deeply missed by his family. Holidays and special occasions will not be the same without him, but his memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. David's legacy of generosity, love, and kindness will continue to live through his family and everyone he touched in his life. David was a Master Mason out of Oklahoma. David’s love of sports pointed him to officiate Recreation League baseball and basketball, High School baseball and basketball, and American Legion baseball. As soon as he took off his Army uniform, he put on his Officiating uniform. David loved working in his yard, cleaning his vehicles, and relaxing with his yorkie Tianna. David was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Johnnie and James (Merlinia) Brown, a sister Annie, a nephew, LaByron and one niece, Kenyatta. David is survived by his wife Terry; children, April (Damien) Woods; Sandra Brown; Michael (Margaret) Marquez; and seven grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the Marvin Camel building (Ronan Senior Center).
