Diana Meeks

Diana Doreen Meeks went to be with the love of her life, Clayton Meeks, on September 10, 2023; with her kids, grandkids, and sisters by her side while listening to Micheal Jackson. Diana was born July 29, 1957 to Swede & Verna Drowatzky. She was the first girl to be born after 3 brothers. She spent her early years in Oregon. They moved to Charlo, MT and later moved to Ronan, MT. Diana graduated from Ronan High School with honors as a “Straight A” student. During her senior year of high school, Diana went to school in the morning, and worked for the BIA Office in the afternoon. After graduation she went to college in Spokane, WA but eventually returned home after becoming homesick. She moved in with her Grandma Della after her grandpa passed away. Henry & Pat Meeks were living next door to her grandma, and Henry’s little brother, Clayton from Butte, MT moved in. When Clayton and Diana met, they feel head over heels in love and married shortly after meeting. The newly weds moved to Polson, and that is where they lived when their daughter Jennifier was born. Then it was off to Tucson, AZ where Clayton’s parents lived. Afterwards, they moved back home to Montana where their two sons were born. Clayton Jr was born in Missoula, MT and Matthew was born in St Ignatius, MT. Later the family moved to Nebraska. In Nebraska Diana and Clayton completed their family with the birth of their youngest, Della. The newly complete family moved to Butte, MT, Ramsey, MT, and finally to Arlee, MT. Diana made Arlee her forever home. They lived in their home in Arlee for over 30 years where they watched all 4 of their children graduate from Arlee High School. Diana was a proud mother, and an even prouder grandmother. Every weekend she spent with her grandkids, Sunday was always dinner and everyone was always welcome. Halloween was her favorite holiday. The family always celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas at her home. After Diana’s mother was put into a nursing home, Diana would pick her mother up from Ronan every Thursday, and take her to visit her brothers, Jack & Donny. She was a very loyal and loving daughter.  Diana loved music, Garth Brooks & Micheal Jackson were her favorite. She loved to dance, anywhere, anytime! She was also a wrestling “Buff” who loved John Cena! Her favorite movie was the Nightmare Before Christmas. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father: Swede Bisson, Brothers: Michael & Fred Bisson, her husband: Clayton, and 2 grandchildren: Autumn and Marcus. She is survived by her mother: Verna Drowatzky, brothers: Danny, Randy & Henry, Sisters: Carey and Gerri. Children: Jennifer (Art) Young, Clayton Meeks Jr, Matt (Jen) Meeks, Della (Jaime) Perez and their 13 grandchildren
