Diane Marten

Diane Elaine Marten, age 79, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 30, 2026. Diane was born on August 13, 1946 in Havre, MT to Theodore Benner & Esther Donis.

Diane was raised on a farm in Chinook, MT until she graduated from Chinook High School in 1964. She lived in Havre, MT from 1965 until she moved to Ronan, MT in 1974. She was employed at several businesses in Ronan until she landed on a career in real estate in 2004. Diane was the owner/broker at Marten Realty until her retirement. 

Diane loved to spend her time gardening, canning, and preserving. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching them play sports. 

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Esther Benner; husband, Ronald Sherman; brothers, Jerry and Jack Benner; and granddaughter, Amanda Sherman.

Diane is survived by her children, Terri Morrison(Dave) and Allen Sherman(Brenda); 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Anna Taylor(Gary), and Ted Benner; and husband, Ray Marten.

Services are to be held on February 21, 2026 at 11 AM at St Paul Lutheran Church in Ronan, MT.
