Dylan Ivins Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Dylan Edward Ivins, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 33.

Known to his loved ones as "Dill Pickle," "DMan," and the "Salish Prince," Dylan was a cherished son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend who infused every corner of his life with warmth, laughter, and endless energy.

Dylan was born and raised in Ronan, Montana, and graduated from Ronan High School in 2010. During his younger years, he was a well-known figure among his friends, often found taking the back roads or playing video games with buddies, famously hauling televisions and PlayStations between houses. He was known for his "Bear Hugs" and was often referred to as a "Gentle Giant" by those closest to him. He had a natural way with children and lived by the belief that "Life’s so much better when we get to share with others."

A lover of the outdoors, Dylan enjoyed hiking, shopping, and being in the wilderness. He actively sought to learn more about his Indigenous heritage and ways. He had a passion for travel, a dream he shared with his sister Whisper of one day visiting Hawaii or Thailand. He found joy in simple pleasures like anime, cooking, watching documentaries, and listening to music, often talking about his aspirations of becoming a DJ.

Dylan is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph Hunter and Michael Ivins, and his younger sister, Whisper Ivins.

He is survived by his father, Carl Ivins; his mother, Jodi Hunter; his grandparents, Terry and Sandy Mitchell; his brothers, Taylor and Mason Ivins, and Michael Ramirez Jr; his sisters, Alivia and Mara Ramirez; his aunts and uncles, Danny and Henry Hunter, Travis and Justin Ivins, Christina (Vern) Mills, Jennifer Ivins, and LaDonna Julies; his best girl, Michelle Little; and numerous cousins and friends whose lives he touched deeply.

A memorial service will be held at the St. Ignatius Longhouse in St. Ignatius, Montana, on November 29, 2025, at 11:00 am.

Dylan will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious spirit, and the deep connections he forged with everyone he met. His memory will forever be a guiding light to his family and community. He was kinda a big “Dill”
