Everett "DayRider" Skunkcap, age 85, passed away at Park Place Heath Care Center in Great Falls, MT on March 22, 2025. Everett was born on May 14, 1939 in Browning, MT to James Skunkcap & Victoria MadPlume Rattler. Everett was raised west of Browning in between the Kiowa and Durham areas. He joined the Army, where he was able to finish his schooling. Throughout Everett's life, he was a firefighter, a ranch hand and retired from the BIA Roads.
Everett loved going to town early for his donuts, morning paper & mail. He enjoyed going to get wood, doing carpentry, attending rodeos, visiting friends, family, and grandchildren, traveling, and being in the great outdoors.
Everett was preceded in death by his sons, Corwin Keith Skunkcap, Everette Daniel Skunkcap; daughter, Everleen Spottedbear; Step Sons, Shawn and Brent; Granddaughter, Maka Joyann; Brothers, Dewey Skunkcap Sr, LeRoy Skunkcap; Parents, James Skunkcap & Victoria MadPlume Rattler
Everett is survived by his children, Lynette Trombley, Carla SureChief, Lisa Skunkcap, Jamie Skunkcap, Jessica (Wilbur) LaPlant, Sherri SpottedBear, Aaron Skunkcap, Marissa Skunkcap and Jadys Skunkcap; 20 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Gayle Skunkcap Sr, Darlene Wall, LeRoy Skunkcap and Dewey Skunkcap.
Services as follows: Wake starting Thursday, March 27 - Friday, March 28 at Glacier Homes. Funeral Service at Faith Dominion Center Saturday, March 29 at 2 PM - Burial to follow at Willow Creek Cemetery with Military Honors.
