Gaylene Parrent

Gaylene E. Parrent, affectionately known as Grandma Lizzy, passed away on January 31, 2026 at age 83. Gaylene was born on May 25, 1942 in Browning, MT to Richard Sinclair & Pearl Salois Sinclair.

Gaylene was raised in Birch Creek, MT and graduated from Browning High School in 1960. Gaylene married Gerald "Jocko" Parrent Sr on January 18, 1969. She spent her working years as a teacher assistant and secretary at Browning High School then was a waitress in her later years at Red Crow and Warbonnet. Gaylene loved to spend her time with family, camping, reading books, and going to the casino.

Gaylene was preceded in death by husband, Gerald "Jocko" Parrent Sr; son, Myron Cobell; brothers, Richard Sinclair and George Sinclair; sister, Marlene Augare; and grandchildren, Nathin Cobell, Jonny Blackman, and Shayla Murdock.

Gaylene is survived by children, Linda(Bill) HeavyRunner, Gerald "Jocko" Parrent Jr, and Gail(Marty) Hoppel; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and sibling, Merlin Sinclair.

Services are as follows:

Wake will begin on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Old Eagle Shields

Rosary on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Old Eagle Shields at 7 PM

Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Little Flower Parish at 2 PM
