George Crawford Couture Sr

Born May 28, 1960  Died May 24, 2025. 

Born to Richard Sr and Annette Couture in Crow Agency, attended school in Elmo Montana, and attended Pretty Eagle Catholic School in St. Xavier, completing his GED at Kicking Horse Job Corp in Ronan Montana.  

Attending Kicking Horse Job Corp he met Marie Smashed Ice having one son, later met Robin Kindness having two daughters and later divorced, then married Annie Big Day having 5 children. 

George in his  younger years he lived in Elmo MT enjoying the lake and outside recreational activities.  Then moved to Crow Agency with his parents, and siblings.  George wore many hats in his lifetime, became a logger and had his own semi, living with his family in Pablo, MT and selling Christmas trees in the Crow Area.  

Later in years George moved his family back to Crow and started working as a fire fighter and forestry technician for BIA.  Worked many years with BIA and moved his family to Pablo MT, working for CSKT Transportation, and later in life returned to Crow Agency. 

His most favorite job was being a grandparent and helping his children raise their families. 

George is proceed in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents, daughter Lissa Couture, son Darius Couture, nephew, uncles, aunties and other relatives.  

George had many nicknames for his children, nieces and nephews that he took as his own. 

George was his brother sidekick always hunting, fishing and as they got older in life his brother Richard Jr was always there for him

George is survived by his wife Annie, children Nicole, Joshonna(Ricky) Bulltail, Regina, Ida, and George Jr, and Ashlie Couture all of Pablo. His siblings Gary Reed, Susie Crooked Arm and Debbie (Marlon) Passes, Richard Jr (Ann) of Crow Agency, Ramona (Dean) Bear Claw of Billings, Rhoda, Colleen Couture of Ronan Montana. 

Grandchildren Robbie Couture, Darris, Handsome, Riley, Michael, Cecei Couture, Rosanna, Nathan& Rose Fisher, and  Aaliyah, Darris, Rosanna& Riquiana Bull Tail, Darianna Couture, Kelvon, Raivon, Irissa Kenmille-Couture, Weston Couture, Zamara Couture, ClintJr., Riona and Noah Irvine, Leila, Jade, Jasmine, Jenai Couture-McElderrly. Great Grandson- Sonny Boy Couture.
