Hobert "Hobie" L. Hunter, 68, passed away in the comfort of his home in Arlee, MT on May 2, 2024.
He was born in St. Ignatius, MT on December 30, 1955 to Chuck & Eldena Hunter. Hobert spent his youth on the Flathead Indian Reservation and attended school in St. Ignatius. In 1974, Hobert entered the armed services. After his time in the services was over he worked road construction and fire fighting. He enjoyed playing slot machines, cribbage, and sports. His favorite team was the Green Bay Packers.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Eldena & Chuck Hunter; sister: LeAnn Hunter Matt; brother: Gordon Hunter, Ron Hunter; and 5 nephews: Steve, Bonner, John, Francis, & Matt.
He is survived by his brother: Ken (Susie) Hunter, sister: Char Hunter; nieces & nephews: Charles, Jericho, Michael (Hannah) Graham, Joseph Hunter,Steven, Shade, Kanyon, Brittany (Eli) Shaw, and many grand nephews. Siblings: Michelle Matt (Anna, Jon Jon) Susie (Frank) Stanger, and many others.
