Louella "Jackie" Mathis Obituary

Louella Couture Mathis "Jackie" went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2025.

Jackie was born in Elmo, Montana on April 29, 1940. She moved to California, where she raised her four children. In 1995, she moved back to Montana, opening a Mexican restaurant, in Pablo, Montana, El Sombrero with her husband Roy Mathis.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Ramirez, Louis Jr. Ramirez(Maria Lizalde), and her daughter Janet Can Doren(Bill). She left behind ten grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. She also left behind many extended relatives from Elmo to Arlee.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Winona Arlee, her husband Roy Mathis; and two daughters, Ava and Joellen Ramirez.

Services are held at Elmo Hall:

Rosary on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 7 PM

Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 10 AM

Burial to follow at Dayton Cemetery
