Louie Justin Alexander, was born on April 27th, 1949 welcomed by Eli Francis Alexander and Agnes Rose (Hewankorn) Alexander who also proceeded him in death. Louie was survived by his siblings Mary Lucy and Richard (Bernie) Alexander; and his son Patrick Coffey.
He was proceeded in death by his brothers Isaac, Andrew “Fudge”, William “Porky”, and Levi; his sisters Josephine, Rose, Cecile, and Mary Christine; two unknown siblings who died at birth; his nephews Eli Adams, Elijah Alexander, Levi Alexander; niece Amber Swaney; grandparents Baptistse Hewankorn, Cecilia Youstah.
Louie started out his adult life on a rough road. He faced many challenges along this journey but later on he found his faith and was able to find peace and comfort in the lord. He spent many a days sharing and preaching the word of God. Louie enjoyed spending time with his many friends. People often would see Louie and his pack dogs - referred to by many as the reservation dog whisperer. Louie enjoyed spending his free time attending church, hitchhiking, watching judge Judy, and taking care of his yard.
Louie passed away at his family home in St. Ignatius on February 7th, 2026. His services are being held at the St. Ignatius Longhouse starting with his rosary at 8pm on February 8th, 2026 and burial to follow on February 9th 2026. He will be buried in Mission Synyelmn Sntmtmne alongside his family.
