Mary Crowe Obituary

We are sharing the sad news that our beloved Mary Lee Crowe, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, made her journey to be with the Lord on November 26, 2025. Mary Lee was born March 9, 1953 in Browning, Montana. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Clark Glaze; her father, James "Jimmy" Glaze; her brothers, Frank Glaze and James "Bubby" Glaze; and her baby sister, Glenda "GG" Calf Boss Ribs. She was also preceded in death by the father of her two oldest children, Duane Alan "Merchie" Crowe, and her lifelong partner and father of her two youngest children, Joe Bird Rattler.

Mary Lee is survived by her children, Lynnie Crowe, Duane Crowe, Kissy Bird Rattler, and Sean Fritzler, and Rowdy and Erica Bird Rattler; grandchildren, JoeDel and Shaylee Fritzler, Jared Crowe, and Mica Bird Rattler; great-grandchildren, Maci and Paycen Running Fisher; her sister, Wanda Glaze; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Mary Lee was well known in the stickgame world and traveled near and far for stickgame throughout the year. She was also one of the first teachers to introduce stickgame to the children at Browning High School during her years as the librarian. Mary Lee enjoyed gambling, bingo, traveling, camping, and visiting Upper Two Medicine. After leaving her employment with the school district, she worked for the Blackfeet Tribal Manpower Program and later retired from Crystal Creek Lodge.

Services for Mary Lee will be held as follows:

-Viewing: Monday, December 1, 2025 at Glacier Homes

-Rosaries: Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 7 PM at Glacier Homes

-Funeral: Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2 PM at Little Flower Parish
