Maxium "Max" Daniel Asencio, 85 of Pablo, MT, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 2, 2025. Max was born February 9, 1940 to Cecile Cullooyah & Pedro Asencio. He was raised in Hamilton, MT.
Later in life, he met and married Theordoris Red Star and together they had their 5 children. The couple and their family lived in various places.
Max attended a vocational school in Roswell, New Mexico where he received a certification in auto body work and painting.
Max was a master painter for the International Painters Union for 45 years. During his painting career he did both residential and commercial jobs. He was a member of the local 300 painters. Max was also a very well known Crew Boss for both the Crow and Salish Kootenai BIA Forestry Programs.
Max had a love for boxing and physical fitness, Max loved to ride his bike everywhere he went. Everyone knew him as the "biker guy." He even influenced some of the community to buy and ride bikes of their own. He was also known in the community for helping people and neighbors mow their yards, chop wood, and various other yard work/chores. Max was always making friends everywhere he went.
Max was preceded in death by his father Pedro Asencio; mother, Cecile Cullooyah; son, Rodney Carbrera; auntie Oshanee Cullooyah Kenmille, brother Ben Asencio; sister Virgina Charlo; and aunt Madeline Isaac Finley.
Max is survived by his children; Noreen Hutchinson-LaForge, Bryan (Melaine) Hutchinson, Maglene Asencio, Benny (Melaine) Asencio, Denalene(Van) Falls Down, Melvin Asencio, Kaneeta Asencio-Briggs, Milan Asencio, Kim Cabrera and Cameron Asencio; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Josephine Asencio Gonzalas; and sitster-in-law, JoAnn "Dode" Asencio.
Max loved extended beyond blood to those he raised/adopted in heart, or welcomed as his own. Forgive us, for the family is large and in naming some we may have missed others know that each life he touched by was important to him and your presence in his journey was never forgotten.
