Roian Matt

Roian Matt began her journey home on March 7, 2025 while fishing in the Frank Church Wilderness. Roian Matt was born on August 4, 1972 in Ronan, MT to Camille “Sonny” Matt & Mary LaFromboise. Although she was born in Ronan, she was raised in Billings, MT and where she graduated High School. Roian was a proud member of the CSKT tribe on the Flathead Reservation, and was proud of her education, achieving her Masters in Environmental Studies. While working for the tribe she was instrumental in establishing the buffer zone and most recently had working for white meats. She loved to travel and was an avid fisherman.

Roian Matt is preceded in death by her parents, Sonny Matt and Mary LaFromboise.

Roian Matt is survived by spouse Bob White; children Dakota Paul of Arlee and Peyton Crawford of USMC; Grandson, Levi; Brother, Jason Matt of Evaro and sister, Juanita Swaney.
