Thelma E. Williams (Wabaunsee) “T”, “Fluffy”, 69, passed away at St Luke’s Hospital in Rona on Dec. 27th.
Born in St Ignatius on Sept. 29, 1956 she was raised in St Ignatius, MT & Wapato, WA where she went to Toppenish Schools before finishing her education at SKC.
Thelma was a member of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribe and never married but kept her life full being a good aunt & sister to all her family. She excelled in Basketball, softball, Bingo, pool and watching the Seattle Seahawks.
She will be welcomed into Heaven by her parents, sisters, a baby brother, an nephew her aunts & uncles and grandparents in the Hawk & Wabaunsee families.
She is survived by a large family including her siblings Gordon (Cheryl) Williams, Betty Wabaunsee, Lois (Richie) LaDay, Larry (Bernice) Wabaunsee, Jim (Sue) Wabaunsee, Ken (Jill) Wabaunsee & Kevin Benson and their families.
Wake at the Longhouse in St Ignatius with the Rosary being recited at 7 pm Monday, Dec 29th. Closing service will begin at 10 am Tuesday, Dec 30th in the Longhouse with Mass following in the St. Ignatius Catholic Mission. Burial will follow beside her mother Janie Wabaunsee in the Snyelmn Sntmtmne.
