Wendy Gareis

Mrs. Wendy Renee Myers Mitchell Gareis, age 73, of Saltese MT, passed away Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, in a single vehicle car accident just outside of St. Ignatius MT. She was born February 24, 1952, in Murray Utah, a daughter of the late John and Margaret Myers.

Wendy was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gareis; two sons, Larry Jr. Mitchell, and Timothy Mitchell; one grandchild, Leland Mitchell; Two brothers, Stephen Myers and Timothy Myers; and one sister, Vicki Myers Freeman.

‍

She was a daughter of faith who loved to restore old cars, collect antiques and work on her Montana property. Her pride and joy were her two small dogs Soot and Sinder. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Wendy is survived by one daughter-in-law, Rosalynn Mitchell of Tacoma WA. and three Grandchildren; three brothers, Russel Myers, Taylor Myers, and John Myers; one sister, Sheila Myers Schultz. She also leaves many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Wendy’s ashes will be laid next to her husband’s at Western Veterans Cemetery in Missoula MT.
